Leaders

Who Leads the Church?  We believe that each congregation of believers that has the maturity and desires to be self governing should be led locally, if possible.  We also believe God has appointed in his church evangelists, pastors and teachers (Eph. 4:11) to prepare God’s people for works of service and to lead, direct the affairs of, oversee and shepherd the flock (Titus 1:5, Acts 20:28, I Peter 5:2).  Consequently, in the West Bay Church of Christ, the evangelist  and the men work together as team to bring the members to maturity, to help the church to grow and to help each part do its work.  Even with the confidence this ecclesiastical team approach gives us, we still value and seek the input of every member, particularly the large number of spiritually mature disciples we are blessed with here in the West Bay church.  We also crave and seek input from other congregations and their leadership teams, particularly those who we respect and have strong relationships with and whose life and doctrine calls us higher.  Our evangelist is Dave Osbourne and his wife Marie.  Dave and Marie have served in the ministry for over 20 years in Jamaica. They moved to Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands to begin leading the church in 2008.  We currently do not have elders in the congregation.
