The purpose of the West Bay Church of Christ's Outreach Ministry is to be faithful to Christ's Commission that we read in Matthew 28:18-20: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Since mankind is lost in sin (Romans 3:23) and the gospel is the only power to save them (Romans 1:16) God wants the gospel to be preached (Mark 16:15-16), I Corinthians 1:21) and has given the obligation to the church and the individuals in it (Ephesians 3:10-11). Christ's instruction to the church is to evangelize (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-16). Without the preaching of the gospel mankind cannot and will not be saved.
Our ministry seeks to serve those who have never heard the name of Jesus and thus have never had the opportunity to confess his name by faith and enter into a personal relationship with God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
